Annika's Purple Belt Testing 12/4/2009 : To Download a Photo: 1. Select photo from thumbnails on the left so that it appears in the large pane to the right. 2. Hover mouse over large photo until the fly in window appears from the right. 3. Click on the 'Save Photo' icon to save full resolution of the file. *This is the proper way to download images as opposed to the traditional right click and save method. Annika The Designer 11/25/2009 : Thanksgiving Eve 2009. Annika & Dad stayed up real late doing an Art / Design project. She had a playdate with a friend earlier today and they made a Halloween themed Candyland game but were unable to finish it. So Annika really wanted to do one for herself to have at her house. Around bed time Mom & brother retired for the evening, the big girl and I got out supplies and fired up the creative energy. I explained to her when I was young I would stay up late at night when everyone else was asleep to do my art and drafting. Since there was no school the next day there was no bed time and she just drew and drew and we talked and talked. We sure have the best big girl in the whole wide world.

Annika St. Pat's 2009 : Today Annika's second grade class took a field trip to NCAR here in Boulder. The National Center for Atmospheric Research is up in the Flatirons right at the foothills of the Rockies. The kids got to do a couple of experiments and see some hands on / interactive exhibits. Annika Masters Club Demo Team 2/27/09 : Annika is a member of the Masters Club where we workout. The Masters Club consists of the top kids with proven leadership traits. Each month the Masters Club practices Kadas (forms) with different weapons. This month the weapon was the Kama Blades and she is on the Demo Team. We couldn't be more proud of the big girl! AA does the 2008 Boulder Kids Triathlon : Today we woke up real early to be at the Boulder Reservoir for Annika’s first Triathlon. The Boulder Kids Triathlon is amazing with 500 kids participating! They started the swim in age group waves and the younger kids were able to either run or swim parallel to the shore. Once they reach the age of 10 they swim around a buoy out in the water. After running in the water (the swim) the kids then head up the beach, step into some little plastic wading pools to rinse off the sand then proceed to the TR (transition area) to get on their bikes. Mom says socks are hard to get onto wet feet in a hurry. The rules are that you push your bike out of the TR before mounting then pedal pedal pedal. They did a big loop and then had to dismount from their bikes and rack them, take off their helmet and then hit the pavement for the final discipline, the run. The Boulder Kids Triathlon is designed so that all kids can finish. There is no clock and no winners or losers, every kid is a winner and gets a medal at the finish line. It was so fun and Annika had a great time. Mom & Dad are so proud of her. She saw her friend Sierra yesterday at the packet pick up and they started together this morning… now they’re upstairs playing Barbies as I write this. Girls ☺ Back to www.5280fotos.com/theaa
